RIP - Fleece Tug Toy

It is hard to tell what this used to be. The toy consisted of a braided length of fleece with tassels on each end.

I thought it would be good to have a tug toy, but the ropes seemed like they were a little too heavy duty for our little guy and his tiny teeth. Plus I thought it wouldn't be possible to rip fleece. Oh how wrong I was...

First off, the tassels at the ends had smaller pieces of fleece knotted in there to add fluff. You can see an example with the green piece above. Other examples of these pieces that were untied by Mickey weren't in as good shape and were thrown away.

The entire toy is about a foot long, so when Mickey would retrieve it and bring it back he would trip over the dragging end. awwww.

This toy won't end up in the toy cemetery. The pieces that are severely mangled will be thrown away and the more intact pieces of fleece have found a new life as teething toys. I get them wet and freeze them. Then Mickey has a crunchy cold treat to gnaw on for about 15minutes (until it thaws out) which he really enjoys.
