I am lucky enough to work from home right now. We wouldn't have been able to get a puppy if I was travelling every week. I will probably not be able to work from home forever, but at least in these early months while we are still trying to housetrain him, it is very important to not leave him alone for whole days.
While Mickey does have lots of energy, he is still a puppy and needs frequent naps. During the morning he likes to curl up on my feet. Which is cute, but it also means I feel frozen in position until he shifts or wakes up. If I have to leave my desk for some reason (grab the phone, make some more tea) he sits there waiting for me and my comfy feet to return.
