Bath Time

"What is going on in here?"

Mickey gets a bath every weekend. After a week he starts to smell very doggy. Add in the puppy play time, rolling in the dirt outside and he has a distinctive bouquet.

This weekend was the most positive bath experience to-date. Mickey has never been bad about bath time, I think it was more getting used to it on my part than anything else.

"Num num num num"

We now use peanut butter as the special bathtime treat and I have attached a spray nozzel to the shower head in order to rinse him thouroughly. [I didn't rinse him well after the first bath I gave him and the poor guy had the worst dandruff on his belly afterwards] So far today I don't see any signs of dry skin, so the rinse must have worked really well!

"Put away the camera and suds me up! Lets get this over with"

This week we played until he was starting to fall asleep. Then I took him outside for one last bathroom break. Then it was bathtime! After the bath, I held him in his towel to keep him warm and he fell asleep for about 2 hours (luckily there was a CSI Miami marathon on tv that kept me entertained).
We use Buddy Wash brand doggie shampoo.
This gentle shampoo uses herbs and natural oils to freshen and deodorize your pet's coat without using chemicals or additives.

Two paws up.
